This Privacy Policy explains how Oceangate Line Shipping LLC ("we", "us", "our"), operating under the brand OG Tech, collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application and related services (the "Service"). The Service is used by logistics drivers, warehouse staff, and business clients to manage shipments, fulfillment, and delivery operations.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to operate the Service:
- Account information. Email address, password (stored hashed on our servers), full name, role (driver, accountant, client, admin), and assigned phone number when provided by your employer or account administrator.
- Location data. When you are signed in as a driver and actively on a delivery route, the app collects your device's GPS coordinates so dispatchers and clients can track shipment status and route progress. Location is not collected when the app is not in use.
- Camera and photos. The app uses your camera to scan shipment barcodes/QR codes and to capture proof-of-delivery photos. Photos you capture or select are uploaded to our servers as evidence attached to a shipment record. We do not access your photo library beyond images you explicitly select.
- Network information. Basic connectivity status (Wi-Fi / mobile data availability) so the app can warn you when offline. We do not collect SSIDs or hardware identifiers.
- Operational data. Records you create or interact with inside the Service: orders, shipments, invoices, payment records, debt entries, and similar business records.
- Device and log data. Standard server logs (IP address, request timestamps, error traces) generated when the app communicates with our backend. These are used for security monitoring and debugging.
2. How We Use the Information
- Authenticate users and authorize access to records belonging to their organization.
- Display shipment, order, and financial data to authorized users (drivers, accountants, business clients, administrators).
- Enable live driver tracking and delivery proof for business clients.
- Generate invoices, financial reports, and collection records.
- Investigate bugs, security incidents, and abuse of the Service.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Within your organization. Records you create are visible to authorized users in the same company tenant (for example, a driver's location is visible to that driver's dispatcher and to the client who shipped the package).
- Service providers. Hosting and database providers that operate our infrastructure on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- Legal compliance. When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users and the public.
4. Data Retention
Account and operational records are retained for as long as the related business relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterward to satisfy accounting, tax, and legal obligations. Location traces older than 12 months are routinely purged unless attached to a disputed shipment record.
5. Your Choices and Rights
- Access and correction. You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you and ask us to correct inaccuracies.
- Deletion. You may request deletion of your account by emailing us at the address below. We will delete personal data that is not required for ongoing legal, financial, or contractual obligations.
- Permissions. You can revoke camera or location permission from your device's system settings at any time. Doing so will disable the related features in the app.
6. Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS between the app and our servers. Authentication uses short-lived JSON Web Tokens. Passwords are stored using one-way salted hashing. We restrict server access to authorized personnel and operate within a managed cloud environment. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use a strong unique password and report any suspected account compromise immediately.
7. Children
The Service is intended for use by business operators and their employees. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate.
